I want to see change in New Orleans; I want to see people's lives restored.

In America, to have a first-class group of citizens and a second-class group of laborers, that's wrong. "That's not America," Edwards said.

But if we still believe we are a country of immigrants, then we need to change our laws and give them a chance.

About New Orleans, Edwards said:

I want to see change in New Orleans; I want to see people's lives restored. As president, he would ask every day: What have we done today to restore New Orleans?

Instead of having multinational corporations do the work, let's give people jobs, Edwards said.
